Making the process as stress free as possible
We like to work in an open, transparent and methodical way with our clients to make sure we get the best outcome when building your home. Here’s a summary outline of the steps we would go through from start to finish:
- Client brief
We sit down with you at the start of the process and discuss your requirements and plans that you may have from an architect or designer.
- Budget guidelines
Based on what is discussed in the brief, we will then look to provide a budget estimate for the build, setting expectations on what would be included in the price.
- Building contract
Once the brief and budget parameters have been agreed, we will then put together a building contract for you to review and sign. This will include a schedule of progress payments for throughout the build.
- Building timeline
We will put together a schedule outlining forecast dates for all the key elements of the build. This helps us work towards a target move in date and also the client who will be required to make decisions along the way.
- The building process
We like our clients to feel involved in the build, so encourage you to spend time on site throughout to make sure you are happy with the direction the build is taking. Whilst its more cost effective for you to have everything agreed up front, we understand that things can change along the way, so we will look to be as flexible as possible.
- Documentation approval
We can help with the certification process prior to construction and manage it through the various building stages to final approval, following practical completion and handover.
- Completion
When the job is done, we will then have a wrap up meeting with the client to finalise the last progress payment and any loose ends that need to be tied up. We also like to take the opportunity to get your feedback on how satisfied you are with the home we have built for you.
